‘Gestalt’ Collaborative Art Exhibition 
March 27–April 7 President’s Gallery
NSU graphic design majors Rebecca Hunt, Carrie Wegleitner, Jen Rappe, Levi Seefeldt, Emily Tillma, and Alexis Doerr will showcase their work in a collaborative art exhibition entitled “Gestalt”.  An opening reception for the exhibition will be held March 27 at 6:30p.m.

Big Science at Sanford Lab
March 28-7:00pm SC Centennial Rooms
Mike Headley, executive director of South Dakota Science and Technology Authority, and Jaret Heise, science director, from Sanford Underground Research Facility will discuss the Lab’s impact on education and the economy in South Dakota. A reception will follow the event, which is free and open to the public.

Alexis Doerr Senior Art Exhibition 
March 28 – April 7 Student Center
NSU art major Alexis (Lexie) Doerr’s exhibition, titled “An Artistic Utterance,” includes paintings with mixed media elements such as embroidery, along with some of her graphic design works. An opening reception for the exhibition will be held March 28 at 6:00p.m.

Sweet Jazz
March 30  – 7:30 p.m. SC Centennial Room
Northern State University’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble (VJE) will offer an evening of sweet jazz, featuring coffee and desserts.

Night of Champions
April 1 – 5:00p.m. Student Center
The Night of Champions fundraiser is hosted by the Deng Foundation and the NSU Office of International Programs. All proceeds go to the Deng Foundation to build the first ever medical clinic in Aweil East, South Sudan, where a malaria outbreak is killing people daily. The event includes dinner, entertainment, a silent auction, and a notable keynote speech by William Deng, who left his home and family in South Sudan at 14, walking for nine days through the jungle to escape civil war and to seek an education.  This event is open to the public. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 for two, available at the NSU International Office.  For tickets or more information, contact Stacey Schmidt, NSU International Student Coordinator, at stacey.schmidt@northern.edu.

Becht, Rusch Senior Recital
April 2–3:00p.m. Krikac Auditorium
Lexi Becht and Kylie Rusch will hold their senior recital. Becht, a music major, is a soprano and plays the trumpet. Rusch, a vocal and instrumental music education major, is a mezzo soprano and plays the piano and flute.

NSU’s A Writer Reads Series hosts notable poet and memoirist Christine Stewart-Nuñez.

Lamont-Rhodes Lecture
April 6 – 8:30am Krikac Auditorium
The Lamont-Rhodes Lecture features Dr. Michael Boehlje, an expert in agricultural economics. Presented by the NSU School of Business and Dacotah Bank. Begins with a brunch buffet at 7:30a.m. in Dacotah Hall. Tickets are $20, or $125 per a group of 8. For more information, contact the NSU Foundation at 605-626-2550.
