Join Dr. Alyssa Kiesow and Dr. Susan Landon-Arnold for a 12-day Marine Biology and Tropical Ecology Study and Medical Health Care Observation Program that encompasses six different locations in Costa Rica: San Jose, Sarapiqui, Monteverde, Ostional, Cuajiniquil, and Rincon de la Vieja. Daily activities range from visiting hospitals, clinics, and orphanages to participating in nature hikes, white-water rafting, and scuba-diving to gain cultural perspectives between the US and Costa Rica.

Join Dr. Greg Blair and Sara Christensen-Blair on an 11-day trip to the European cities of Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam. Participants will trace the emergence of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art movements, which will consist of visits to museums, including the world famous Louvre and Museé D’Orsay, and other significant cultural sites in these three countries.

Join Dr. Elizabeth Haller and Dr. Lysbeth Benkert on a 14-day trip to historical and literary locations throughout Wales and England. In Wales, visit Caerphilly Castle (13th-century fortress and backdrop for BBC’s Merlin), the Dylan Thomas Center, the famed Tintern Abbey, and the coastal city of Cardiff. Fans of Doctor Who can take in the Doctor Who Experience and walking tour. In England, visit York and the Brontë sisters’ home, tour Oxford sites relevant to J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, and see Shakespeare’s home in Stratford. Visit Stonehenge and Warwick Castle. In London, see a Shakespearean performance at The Globe, visit Harry Potter Warner Bros. studios, the Sherlock Holmes museum, and Abbey Road. Tour the Tower of London and see all of London’s iconic sites.

Join Dr. Marcella Faflak and Dr. Ginny Lewis on an 11-day musical and cultural tour through Germany and the Czech Republic. Participants will explore the German capital of Berlin and the Czech capital of Prague, with additional visits to Leipzig and Dresden, and learn about outstanding cultural achievements and landmarks of these vibrant cities. Participants will tour several castles, historical churches, museums, and memorials that commemorate crucial historical events and artistic accomplishments. The trip will include two-three concerts in major performance venues.

Join Dr. Andria Moon and Dr. Gayle Bortnem on a 9-day trip to Italy to visit Montessori and Reggio Emilia classrooms in Milan, Florence, and Rome and get a better understanding of the history of Montessori education. Live la dolce vita in Rome as you visit an authentic gelato producer to see how the famous Italian-style ice cream is crafted, and of course, see where the pope lays his gigantic hat in Vatican City.
