Northern State Student Association Update

September 1st

I would like to open this update by saying, “Hello,” and welcome back to all Northern students, faculty and staff. Whether this is your first year, your last year, or somewhere in between, we are very excited that you have chosen to spend the school year here Northern State University. I, along with my Vice President, Katie Graham, and the rest of the Student Association hope to meet and get to know as many of you as we can as we strive to make this university the best experience for you and future classes of Northern Wolves.
The Student Association is not only your student government, it is your voice. It is our goal and commitment to work in your best interest as well as to facilitate communication between students and administration. We have already received some feedback regarding some issues that you have been experiencing in the first weeks here on campus, and we have begun working toward solutions that will provide the most benefit to everyone.
This organization has some lofty goals ahead of us, and we are ready to get rolling. We will be looking at multiple areas of improvement over the next year, from a General Activities Fee increase to lobbying in our state capital for or against bills that impact students. However, our goals cannot be accomplished without you – the students. We need to hear from you. Please open a line of communication with your senators and stop by our office in Student Center 132 (across from the post office). We are looking forward to a great and historic year for this university. Good luck this fall, and GO WOLVES!
