NSU Falls to Lindenwood From Wayne State

   The Northern State women’s basketball team recorded their first loss of the 2015-16 season, falling to Lindenwood University 77-60. The Wolves are now 1-1 on the year.
   Northern outscored Lindenwood in every quarter, except the second where the Lady Lions accumulated 32 points to the Wolves’ five. NSU fought back in the last two quarters but could not come away with the victory.
   Leading the way offensively for NSU was Lauren Deadrick (Sr.) with 18 points, followed by Jill Conrad (So.) with 15 total points. Bethany Crosswait (Jr.) and Miranda Ristau (So.) each collected six points in the matchup. Devon Brecke (Sr.) created scoring opportunities by adding four assists.
   As a team, the Wolves picked up eight team steals, blocked three shots, and came away with 37 total rebounds.
