Through the years, Northern State University has definitely learned how to celebrate Halloween through good and clean fun.
The Northern State Campus Activities Board (CAB) is contributing to the celebration this year by sponsoring the annual Halloween Spook Skate.
This exciting event will take place on Thursday, October 27, starting at 8pm at the Skate Away in Aberdeen, located at 721 Circle Drive.
On Thursday night, students can skate for free thanks to fundraising from CAB.
In addition, CAB invites students to dress in costume to compete in the costume competition. Not only will prizes be given out every half hour, but there will be a grand prize at the end of the night for whoever has the absolute best costume.
CAB President, Kiley Kuza, has mentioned that the costume contest and the event as a whole
has been a huge success in the past.
Kuza mentioned that over the years various costumes have included things such as a banana, scarecrows, cowboys, or even professors from campus.
“The costume contest is a fun way for students to show who they are and showcase their creative side” she explains.
The Spook Skate has been a long-standing tradition at NSU, and CAB is excited to continue this the event for years to come.
Kuza encourages all students from Northern State University to take advantage of this free night of fun at Skate Away.
Throw on a fun outfit on Thursday night, whether you feel more like dressing up as your favorite food or impersonating an NSU professor.
So get your costume ready and go to Skate Away on Thursday October 27 for a good, spooky, and fun-filled time!
