NOVEMBER 21ST The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) announced the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America® NCAA Division II Women’s soccer teams. The Division II Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
Making the list for the Wolves and for the first time in her career is senior forward Anna Bondy. Twenty-one of the 33 members of the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America® NCAA Division II women’s soccer teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with 11 student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 G.P.A. The 11 members of the first team have an average G.P.A. of 3.90. The NSU starter was selected as NSIC Offensive Player of the Week three different times throughout the 2016 season. In her final year, Bondy recorded 15 goals and eight assists, finishing second overall in points, points per game, goals and goals per game. Through 18 games, Bondy tallied 68 shots for a shooting percentage of .221, finishing third in the conference in both total shots and shots per game. The Pierre native also finished top-5 in the NSIC in assists and game-winning goals. The Wolves senior has a 3.70 GPA and is majoring in biology.
