The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2016 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Representing the Northern State University Wolves for their first time at the NCAA Championships will be Hanneke Oosterwegel in the 400-meter dash and 200-meter dash, as well as Deshonn Brown in the high jump. Returning to the national stage, Sasha Hovind will also compete in the 5000-meter run.
These student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event.
The championships will be held over the course of three days (March 9— 11) in Birmingham, Alabama, at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Oosterwegel will kick off competition for the Wolves on Thursday, March 9, in the 400m prelims at 5:05p.m., while Hovind continues action in the 5000m run at 6:05p.m. Brown will follow the next day in the high jump at 2:00p.m. as well as Oosterwegel in the 200m prelims at 5:00p.m. on Friday, March 10.
