Picture16NSU Theater Present “Mary Poppins“
April 19 – 23, JFAC. Performed nightly at 7:30pm April 19 – 22, with a matinee show at 2:30pm  April 23. Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. NSU faculty/staff may purchase two tickets at half price. NSU students are admitted free with ID. The box office opens two hours before the show begins on performance nights. Senior Art Exhibition Reception
Maggie Martinmaas’ senior art exhibition will be on display in the NSU Student Center Gallery April 24 through May 8.  A reception for the exhibition will be held April 24 in the Student Center Gallery from 7pm to 8:30pm. Martinmaas will display lithography, sequential art, comics and animations.

Senior Art Exhibition Reception
Carrie Wegleitner’s senior art exhibition will be on display in the NSU Faculty Gallery April 24 through May 8.  A reception for the exhibition will be held April 24 in the NSU Faculty Gallery from 7pm to 8:30pm. A majority of the artwork on display will feature photography and graphic design-based material. Wegleitner is an art and advertising design major who will graduate in May. After graduation, she intends to explore careers in graphic design and art. She also hopes to do a lot of traveling.

Senior Art Exhibition Reception
Shayla Simons’ senior art exhibition will be on display in the NSU President’s Gallery April 24 through May 8. A reception for the exhibition will take place from 7 pm to 8:30pm April 24 in the President’s Gallery. Simons stated, “My exhibition will feature colorful watercolors and oil paintings, as well as mixed media pieces combining watercolor, embroidery and beading, all of which examine various functions of the human mind such as dreams, thoughts and emotions, in conjunction with identity and psychology . . .”. Simons is an art education and fine art major who will graduate in December upon completion of her senior student teaching experience. After graduation, she plans to procure an art education position.

Picture23NSU Jazz Ensembles Swing Dance
Friday, April 28, at the historic Ward Hotel at 104 S. Main St. Doors open at 6pm, with music beginning at 7pm. Featured will be the NSU Jazz Combo and the 2 O’Clock Jazz Ensemble. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble will be performing swing music throughout the evening. This year’s event also features the student jazz/rock group “Jet Lagged,” who will add unique flair to the evening of non-stop music and dancing. Tickets are $10 at the door. The event is open to the public.

AUCS Grand Finale Concert
April 29, 2017, at 7:30 pm in JFAC. The program includes music by Mozart, Dvořák, Copland and Beethoven.
